TEMPER TANTRUM

I read in the paper the other day
Where a group of irresponsible,
 Undisciplined, unlearned
And snot-nosed
Children at the
 Mississippi State University
In Starkville
Think it is their duty
To vote and run for positions
In the local elections;
To merge temporal residency
Into a concentrated effort,
And to disrupt responsible
 Local control! 

In essence they are throwing
 A temper tantrum!
They are much like rude guests.
Guest that have never been
Taught the essential necessities
Of good manners;
Discipline
 And responsibilities!
Guests that have a yen
To tell you what to read,
What to watch on your TV,
Insult your intelligence,
And all of this
At your own expense!

The right to vote
Demands exercising
Individual discipline
And responsibility!
Local decisions
Made by organized
 Temporal and immature minds
By statewide college student bodies
Are downright scary!
Educational institutions and student bodies
By perpetuating their own image,
Become separate entities unto themselves,
Manifesting selfish interests
In lieu of responsibility and discipline!

We must learn to walk
Before attempting to run!
