PSYCHOTHERAPY, A SICKNESS
We live within a sick world! Sick as a dog!
The sickest of the sick amongst us are those that practice medicine with a ploy called psychotherapy.
These "shrinks" are the most expensive friends that one could find anywhere in the whole wide world. They are also one of our most sinister of enemies. It is a classic con game perpetuated upon ignorant people with biological, neurological or physical impairments that no doubt exceeds the scope of present day medical knowledge.
Psychiatric or psychological medicine has never cured one illness that is plaguing the human race! Name one!
I will even venture to say that mental illness, mental disease or mental disorders, per se, does not exist. The causes are either, biological, neurological, physical or spiritual!
With a Ph.D in psychiatry or psychology one is till lacking the skills, the knowledge, the credentials or the experience to be a worthy member of the medical profession in this country. I am amazed that this profession is so highly recognized by the medical, the clergy and legal entities and professions throughout our land.
I have read the theories of Sigmund Freud from id to ego and my libido tells me this guy was shooting blanks all along!
I am a reasonably intelligent person and I couldn’t find anywhere that the guy had anything close to an original thought. It appears to me that Freud borrowed a lot from the wisdom of the ages that have been passed on to us by the saints of old. He re-named things to suit him self and came up with the idea that man has a spirit, a mind, a soul. Is there anything original about that?
Freud made one mistake that any unwise man usually makes. He failed to read the book of Job! He failed to recognize the uniqueness of the human soul and that God and God alone has the answers to the non-physical forces lying outside the realm of the physical processes. Is it any wonder that his theories have been so ineffective in the practice of medicine? Trying to eliminate a so-called mental disorder by having a psychiatrist work on your brain is like trying to figure out which way the smoke is going on an electric train!
Actually the training (training in lieu of teaching) of Freud disciples and other mental health professionals does little or nothing to make them better equipped to be better counselors or "therapists" than anyone else for that matter. Generally, the best person for you to talk with is a person who has came through the same problems you are facing and can inspire you with their strong spiritual faith. It is much better than the "professionals" who claim their values come from their years of academic study or professional training. That is why support groups devoid of these "professionals" are so highly successful. With faith, the blind can truly lead the blind!
Of course there is your friends! Your best friend realizes that you are facing problems that require that you to take a fresh look at things. Best friends are more than likely to realize that you could care less about therapy as such; that you are usually looking for reeducation. And they are much more likely to stir you to a qualified person to educate you in the area in which you are having difficulty.
The same things hold true in the whole arena of psychotherapy. There are many more people in all walks of life that are much better equipped and qualified to help than those disciples of Sigmund Freud; they are trained to be listeners but you can bet your bottom dollar that they wouldn’t dare refer you to someone else. Who loses?
If you can afford $100 to $150 per hour to have a conversation with a person with preconceived ideas that is unlikely to benefit you with your difficulties than most any other Tom, Dick or Harry then be my guest.
The disciples of Sigmund Freud have built up a medical profession almost entirely on a hoax. Tell me; what do they do that some other member of another profession can always do better?
The following is a copy of the statutory authority of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health:
The governing board of the department is composed of nine members appointed by the Governor of Mississippi and confirmed by the State Senate. Members’ terms are staggered to ensure continuity of quality care and professional oversight of services. By statute, the nine member board is composed of a physician, a psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, a social worker with experience in the field of mental health, and one citizen representative from each of Mississippi’s five congressional districts.
Furthermore the basic duties of the Department of Mental Health are as follows:
- To establish state plans for the purpose of controlling and treating any and all forms of emotional illness, alcoholism, drug misuse, and developmental disabilities;
- To maintain jurisdiction, administration, and operation of two mental health hospitals, five comprehensive regional centers, and other mental health or mental retardation facilities which may be established through legislative action;
- To serve as a single state agency in the administration of available fiscal resources for training, research, and education regarding all forms of mental illness, mental retardation, alcoholism, drug misuse, and developmental disabilities. To serve in such capacity unless such funds are specifically designated to a particular agency or institution by the federal government, Mississippi legislature, or any other grantor;
- To supervise, coordinate, and establish standards for all mental health-related operations and activities;
- To assist regional mental health/mental retardation commissions in the development of community or regional programs and services throughout Mississippi;
- To establish and promulgate reasonable mini standards for construction and operation of facilities including admission, diagnosis, care, treatment, patient/records transfer. Further, under such standards provide day care, outpatient care, emergency inpatient care, and follow-up care, when such care is provided as appropriate and necessary; and, to assist community or regional programs by contracting for community mental health services.
The above is indicative of the mental health conditions within the other forty-nine states throughout this nation on this date in time.
The fox is in the hen house! How could we allow such an inept profession to obtain so much power?
I must maintain that this is somewhat like and similar to the evolving science of political correctness/postmodernism (See my article on political correctness/postmodernism). It is clearly secular and an aberration of trust, truth, honor and love and if the premise of which is based is lacking these qualities it is hollow and becomes a bogus issue. In fact, by perpetuating its own image it becomes a neurosis of its own volition.
I am at a loss to understand a lack of opposition to this bogus profession by other legitimate professions like the medical and legal entities. They seem to accept the false premise that the disciples of Freud have an uncanny ability to read peoples minds. The creditability given to these disciples by these reputable professions tend to convey this message to the general public. The legal profession especially has wrapped itself into and accepted truths that simply have never existed by these followers of Freudism!
The most astonishing fact in all of this is that the head honcho’s of most all of the main line churches require that their clergymen be subjected to rigorous psychiatric tests and evaluations. What happened to our faith? This then leaves a question as to whether or not these institutions have been permeated with a doctrine contrary to the basic belief of Christianity!
As you can readily see, an inept profession has permeated into other legitimate institutions and areas of our lives to such an extent that their own credibility is now being forced to be questioned.
Lawrence Stevens, author and lawyer in the last paragraph of an article, Why Psychiatry Should Be Abolished as a Medical Specialty! says:
"The point is that if psychiatrists want to treat bona-fide brain disease, they must do so as neurologists, internists, endocrinologists, surgeons, or as specialists in one or the other, the real, health care specialties – not as psychiatrists. The treatment of real brain disease falls with the scope of the other specialties. Historically, treatment of real brain disease has not fallen within the scope of psychiatry. It’s time to stop the pretense that psychiatry is a type of health care."
In his letter of resignation from the American Psychiatric Association a psychiatrist Loren R. Mosher, M.D. says:
"I view with no surprise that psychiatric training is being systemically disavowed by American medical graduates. This must give us cause for concern about the state of today’s psychiatry. It must mean, at least in part, that they view psychiatry as being very limited and unchallenging. …there are no external validating criteria for psychiatric diagnoses. There is neither a blood test nor specific anatomic lesions for any major psychiatric disorder. So where are we? …Is psychiatry a hoax, as practiced today?"
Thank God. I am not the only sane person in the world. I was beginning to think I should see a "shrink!"
