I DIDN’T
We, each of us, are quite unique! Regardless of what Thomas Jefferson said we are none of us equal, nor were we born equal! The exact opposite is true. My equivalent and your equivalent is non existent!
In the realization of our own uniqueness we also come to the knowledge and understanding that the Creator, in His divine fashion, recognizes each of us in our very own individuality!
This inequality is truly a blessing and has released the true genius of mankind in an evolving chain or knowledge and progress for the benefit of the human race. Most of our progress, from the invention of the wheel to the present day mechanical marvels has come from the individual mind of some unique person.
Had we been born equal we might still be killing each other with spears and roasting each other on a spit!
I didn’t choose the time to live.
I didn’t pick the place.
I didn’t choose this scrawny frame
And certainly not this face.
I didn’t choose my Pa and Ma.
I didn’t pick the sex.
I didn’t choose this awful name
I consider it a hex.
I didn’t choose this balding head.
I didn’t pick the gray.
I didn’t choose this simple look,
It just turned out that way!
I must have been an accident.
Or, were the blueprints shot?
But, I must live and learn to use
Exactly what I’ve got!
